The Elrow extravaganza comes to Bogotá

By bogotapost February 20, 2018

ElrowMarch 3 will see Elrow – the movement that has become known as the home of fun, craziness and the best of electronic music – elbowing its way into Bogotá for the first time with top DJs like Matthias Tanzmann, Chus & Ceballos and Heidi.

The movement of Elrow has taken the most important dance floors in the world by storm – born out of a Sunday party that needed to take another course, this singular and extravagant concept proved the perfect passport to take it to iconic electronic party cities like London, Miami, Ibiza, Madrid, and Barcelona. Festivals such as Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, Street Parade and Summer Sonic in Japan, have all opened exclusive stages for Elrow to display all of its madness.

Elrow’s theatrical style has created a unique and unrepeatable experience; weaving millions of stories filled with animated, seductive and charming performances by the best DJs in the world. That includes big names like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Ellen Allien, Paul Ritch or Matador and Groove Armada, to mention a few.

While the current party concept is new, Elrow’s roots go back to the Florida Club in Spain and six generations – 147 years – of a family business dedicated to showing people a good time.

And now, having sprinkled its party magic throughout Europe and Asia, 2018 will see Elrow expanding its path of paraphernalia and out of control parties to South America. Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena will all be receiving the largest travelling electronic show in the world.

The lineup for this first edition is looking impressive. Led by Matthias Tanzmann from Germany, the big name in deep and tech house who has not visited our country for over three years, and joined by Chus & Ceballos (Spain) pioneers and representatives of the ‘Iberican Sound’ movement; Heidi (UK) one of the most Berlin’s Get Physical label’s most important women; Marc Maya (Spain) leader of Elrow 14 in Barcelona; De La Swing (Spain) experienced resident of Elrow Ibiza and transgressor of techno and current house and resident for Elrow Colombia and Mexico; and big local talent Johnny House-In – the man behind The Mother Earth Calling.
