In Memoriam

In tribute to the plastic artists who have passed away over the last decade, MAMBO is putting on a show to help keep them alive through their work. Several prominent artists will be represented, artists who have transformed concepts and broken the mould. Among them are Juan Antonio Roda, Omar Rayo, Edgar Negrete, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Rosa Sanín, Adolfo Bernal, Hernán Díaz and numerous others.

In memory of Rafael Puyana

Presenting objects recently added to the Museo Nacional’s collection, at the request of Rafael Puyana Michelsen, who passed away in Paris in 2013. The exhibition includes three instrument’s from the musician’s collection and a work by the Italian painter Ambrosius Benson.

Considered one of Latin America’s most important conceptual artists, the Argentine spent decades exploring notions of transformation, materials and humanity. Exhibiting numerous pieces from the start of his career in the 1960s to his death in 2002.
