By Jazid Contreras Vergel February 27, 2018

FICCI 2018From February 28 to March 5, Cartagena will host the 58th edition of its famous film festival, FICCI.

This year’s edition of FICCI counts with the notable assistance of high profile guests such as Scottish actor Tilda Swinton, Spanish actor Maribel Verdú and French director Bruno Dumont.

The official poster echoes the theme of this year: the exuberant wilderness of the Caribbean, and the slogan “Puro voltaje” #PuroVoltajeFICCI58 alludes to the energetic yet eclectic mix of titles that are part of the official selection.

Nine films compete in the main fiction category including Zama, by Argentine director Lucrecia Martel, a critically acclaimed period drama about an 18th century Spanish officer stuck in a remote South American colony, yearning to go back to his motherland.
